The Hurried Child:

How a stressful world affects children

10 – 11:30 am
Monday, Mar. 12, 2018
With Carol Paull, MA, MSSA, LISW

For parents, the demands of a career, social obligations and maintaining a standard of living often conflict with how we nurture our children. And with so many after-school enrichment activities, the idea of “superkids” with special abilities is not in line with their developmental and needs and realities. How does the stress of today’s world affect our children?

This discussion will offer insights about:

  • With so many after school enrichment activities, what is good for the child
  • How much is too much?
  • What choices are best for the child; best for the family
