Caregiver/Toddler Class

The relationship between a toddler, parents and a regular caregiver presents complex dynamics that can sometimes be tense or difficult to navigate.

Hanna Perkins’ new Caregiver/Toddler Class is a developmentally mindful class for toddlers, who are in a time of transition from total dependence to the firs steps of independence – a phase made more difficult as young children must navigate it with a limited vocabulary and only the most basic skills for conveying their feelings. Like our Parent/Toddler program, this class provides toddlers with an important introduction to a group setting.

But unlike other programs at Hanna Perkins or elsewhere, this class is uniquely designed for caregivers too – providing support and insight from their peers and child development specialists to help make the relationship with the parents and child healthy, productive and rewarding for everyone.
