Participants will understand how an anti – bias curriculum can teach children acceptance, tolerance and respect for others. We will learn how young children are affected by their family’s prejudices, no matter how subtle, and how children benefit from an anti-bias curriculum and environment. Participants will explore their own feelings about prejudices and stereotypes. Participants will learn how to set up their classroom, what materials to include, and to be aware of the subtle stereotype materials/phrases that exist in today’s world.
