As Education Director, a role she has filled since 2009, she oversees enrollment and day-to-day administration of Hanna Perkins School. She has served since 2012 as Faculty Chair of the Cleveland Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Training Program, which oversees training of child analysts through its longstanding and respected curriculum, Course in Child/Adolescent Psychoanalysis – Clinical, Theoretical and Applied.
Prior to these roles, Streeter served as the school’s Therapy Director since 1997. She was Associate Director of the Hanna Perkins Center Extension Division from 1989 until 2003.
She is an instructor and consultant to early childhood programs in the Greater Cleveland community and throughout the country.
Ms. Streeter is a member of the Association for Child Psychoanalysis (ACP), the American Psychoanalytic Association and the Association for Psychoanalytic Schools. She is a past president of the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Society (CPS) and a past Board Member of the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center. She has served as editor of newsletters of the ACP and CPS and as managing editor of the Hanna Perkins Journal, Child Analysis. She helped develop and implement the national HPC/TRW Early Childhood Intervention Alliance, a 10-year program funded by the TRW Foundation. Ms. Streeter is a graduate of Brown University and holds a Masters in Special Education from the Bank Street College of Education. She qualified as a Child Psychoanalyst through the Hanna Perkins Center. Early in her career she served as Head Teacher in the Hanna Perkins Kindergarten.
