The Hanna Perkins Butterfly Garden – Gift of the Hershey Foundation is a learning garden for students at Hanna Perkins School, and provides food during the season for their school lunches.

Students participate in the care, harvest and preparation of their food, which is served each day in a family-style lunch. Each year, the Hanna Perkins Butterfly Garden – Gift of the Hershey Foundation contributes about half of the vegetables used in the Hanna Perkins kitchen.

The lease includes regular watering, use of wheelbarrows and garden tools, and basic support for overall gardening activities.
